| How to improve your spelling, writing, reading and listening with this simple brain exercise: 1. Stand up and, by raising your knees alternately, touch each hand to the opposite knee. 2. Do this about ten times whenever you are stressed. Variations: 1. Do it with your eyes closed. 2. Do it by raising each foot, alternately behind you; touching each foot with the opposite hand. This is a typical exercise recommended by educational kinesiologists to integrate both sides of the brain, reduce stress and make learning easier. If you have difficulty with exercises like this, the authors recommend repatterning by a certified kinesiologist. Exercises like this are covered in the highly-recommended books, Brain Gym, published by Edu-Kinesthetics Inc., P.O. Box 3396, Ventura, CA 93006-3396, and One Brain: Dyslexic Learning Correction and Brain Integration, published by Three In One Concepts, 2001 W. Magnolia Blvd., Suite B., Burbank CA 91506-1704. We acknowledge the assistance of certified kinesiologist Kathleen Carroll, Three In One Concepts facilitator of Washington DC, in compiling this section of the book. |
